Ripple Uses AI to Strengthen XRP Ledger Security for Growth

  • Ripple is adding AI tools across XRPL testing, reviews, and threat modeling.
  • An AI-assisted red team has already found more than 10 low-severity bugs.
  • Rising AI-led contract scanning is pushing blockchain teams toward constant testing.

Ripple is moving XRP Ledger security into a new phase as the network prepares for broader payments, tokenization, and institutional use. A new engineering update from Ripple sets out a more proactive security model built around AI-assisted testing, continuous review, and stricter standards for code changes.

Importantly, Security is no longer being framed as a one-time audit step. Ripple is treating it as a constant process that has to scale with the ledger’s growing role in financial infrastructure.

Ripple Adds AI to XRPL Security Testing

In a blog post on 26th March, Ripple said XRPL has been running since 2012, has processed more than 100 million ledgers, handled over 3 billion transactions, and supported billions in value transfer.

That long record gives the network credibility, but it also means the codebase carries years of old design choices and assumptions. Ripple said that reality requires continuous hardening rather than occasional fixes.

AI is changing how blockchain protocols are analyzed and tested. Ripple now plans to use AI for adversarial code scanning, pull request reviews, threat modeling, and attack-surface mapping.  Teams will also use AI to simulate edge cases and stress scenarios that are difficult to generate by hand. That approach aims to catch weaknesses before they reach production.

Red-Team Testing and Code Upgrades Improve Security

Ripple has also formed a dedicated AI-assisted red team focused on how XRPL features behave in real-world conditions. That team is not looking at features in isolation.

It is testing the boundaries where old logic meets new functionality, since those are often the weakest points in long-lived systems. Ripple said this team has already uncovered more than 10 bugs, with low-severity issues disclosed publicly so far.

Security work is also being penetrated further into the code itself. Ripple claimed that it is modernising and aligning the XRPL codebase to minimise bugs in structural factors, like poor type safety, incompatible interactions between features, and unenforced assumptions.

Another improvement that Ripple intends to make to amendments is to introduce tougher testing, definitive requirements before activation, and additional independent security audits.

Why This Matters For XRP

In this context, this matters for XRP since XRPL is positioning itself as infrastructure for global payments, tokenized assets, and institutional-grade financial products. A network that wants to serve those use cases needs stronger reliability, clearer security standards, and faster bug discovery. Ripple’s latest plan ties security directly to growth rather than treating it as a background task.

As of now, the XRP price is trading around $1.36, reflecting a drop of 2.5% seen in the last 24 hours.

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
