PANews reported on March 27 that, according to Iranian media, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed, and any passage through the waterway will face "severe measures." All vessels "traveling to or from ports of hostile allies and supporters of the US and Israel" are prohibited from passing through any waterway or heading to any destination. Previously, Iranian media reported that three container ships of different nationalities were forced to turn back through the Strait of Hormuz after warnings from the Iranian Navy.
