PANews reported on March 29 that, according to Hurriyet Daily News, the Turkish parliament removed tax provisions related to crypto assets during the review of a comprehensive bill. The removed provisions would have levied a 0.3% transaction tax on the sale and transfer of crypto assets through service providers, and taxed cryptocurrency gains primarily through withholding at source. Although these provisions have been removed from the current draft, officials stated that a revised version may be resubmitted to parliament as a separate legislative proposal.
