PANews reported on March 30th, citing Xinhua News Agency, that the World Data Organization (WDO) held its first general meeting in Beijing, approving its bylaws and electing its first board of directors and supervisors. The newly elected board then held its first meeting, electing the organization's leadership and approving key organizational rules and regulations, marking the completion of the WDO's establishment and its official commencement of operations. This is the world's first professional international organization dedicated to promoting data development and governance practices, headquartered in Beijing.
