RISE, long recognized as one of the fastest-performing Layer 2 networks in the Ethereum ecosystem, has unveiled a major strategic shift with the introduction of RISE MarketCore and RISEx.

According to the RISE team, this move will position the project not just as a high-speed execution layer, but as the central infrastructure powering global on-chain markets. The expansion follows RISE’s recent acquisition of BSX Labs, whose technology now strengthens the network’s new market-oriented architecture.

A New Approach to Onchain Market Infrastructure

In traditional finance, whether equities, commodities, or foreign exchange, order books form the backbone of trading systems. Until now, replicating such a structure fully on-chain has been largely impractical due to speed and complexity constraints. RISE claims to have resolved this limitation through its low-latency Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing true on-chain orderbooks to function with the performance and composability expected in conventional exchanges.

This breakthrough enables developers, asset issuers, and institutions to build markets directly on the chain, complete with programmable liquidity, unified risk management, and fully transparent settlement processes.

Introducing RISE MarketCore

RISE MarketCore serves as the new base-layer infrastructure for creating and running on-chain markets. Powered by the network’s high-speed EVM, MarketCore enables the instant, permissionless deployment of spot and perpetual markets that share liquidity at the protocol level. Additional orderbook-based instruments, including options, structured products, and prediction markets, are planned for future integration.

MarketCore provides native orderbook components, risk systems, and APIs, allowing builders to focus on innovation rather than assembling fragmented tools. Token issuers and founders can list assets, launch exchanges, or tap into existing liquidity pools with minimal friction.

RISEx: RISE’s First Integrated Perpetuals Exchange

At the application layer, RISEx becomes the network’s flagship trading platform. Designed as an integrated perpetual DEX, it combines the transparency of DeFi with execution standards more commonly associated with centralized exchanges.

Every element of the trading workflow, orders, margin changes, liquidations, and settlements, executes synchronously on-chain. RISE states that this design ensures consistent performance, tighter spreads, and deeper liquidity while preserving composability for algorithmic traders and market makers.

RISE CEO Sam Battenally emphasized the broader vision behind the launch, noting that the project aims to establish an open and programmable market framework for the internet. He observed that transforming the chain into the core venue for global market infrastructure is a natural progression toward creating a transparent and resilient financial system.

Core Features of the Modernized RISE Ecosystem

The upgraded RISE architecture offers a range of enhanced features designed for both institutional users and builders. It supports fully on-chain order books that bring together shared liquidity across spot and perpetual markets, creating a unified trading environment. Developers can also leverage programmable market logic through a suite of SDKs and APIs, enabling them to design and launch custom financial instruments with ease.

These features are powered by RISE’s ultra-fast EVM, which delivers millisecond-level execution speeds suitable for high-frequency market activity. At the application layer, RISEx serves as the primary exchange, anchoring liquidity for the ecosystem and demonstrating the full potential of RISE’s advanced infrastructure.

Looking Ahead: Mainnet Progress and Market Expansion

RISEx is set to enter a closed mainnet phase within the quarter, with a full public release anticipated in early 2026. Afterward, MarketCore will open for permissionless creation of new trading venues. RISE also plans to extend its Markets SDK to accommodate additional derivatives and advanced financial products.

About RISE

RISE is a next-generation Ethereum Layer 2 designed to serve as the foundational infrastructure for global on-chain markets. Built for high throughput, low latency, and complete EVM compatibility, it enables seamless interaction between programmable orderbooks, DeFi applications, and institutional trading systems. The project aims to redefine the financial stack with a transparent and composable on-chain architecture.
