What is a Crypto Deposit?

1. What is a Crypto Deposit?

A crypto deposit refers to the process of transferring digital assets, such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or USDT, from an external wallet or platform to your MEXC account via a blockchain network.

If you already hold crypto assets on another wallet or platform, here's how to deposit them into MEXC:

2. Important Notes Before Depositing Cryptocurrency

1) When selecting the transfer network, ensure that the network you choose matches the withdrawal network from the sending platform. For example, if you select the ERC-20 network on MEXC, you must also select ERC-20 on the withdrawal platform. Using the wrong network may result in permanent loss of funds.

2) Before proceeding, verify the token contract address. Make sure the contract address of the asset you are depositing matches the token contract address supported by MEXC. Otherwise, your funds may be lost. You can click the end of the contract address shown on the token page to view the full address.

3) Some cryptocurrencies require a minimum deposit amount. If the deposited amount is below the required minimum, it will not be credited and cannot be refunded.

4) You can choose to deposit tokens into either your Spot Account or Futures Account. Once the deposit account is set, all future deposits will be credited to the selected account by default. If the asset cannot be credited to your Futures Account, it will be automatically deposited into your Spot Account.

5) After initiating a deposit, confirmation by blockchain network nodes is required. The confirmation time may vary depending on the network congestion and the specific blockchain.
  • Pre-Crediting: Once the required number of confirmations is reached, the asset becomes available for trading or internal transfers. However, it cannot be withdrawn or externally transferred at this stage.
  • Credited Successfully: Once the required number of confirmations is reached, the asset is available for withdrawal and all transfer operations.
