Due to significant price fluctuations following the launch of Nireafty (NRT) on MEXC, which led to considerable deviations, MEXC suspended NRT deposits and Spot trading at 09:34 (UTC) on January 17, 2025, after detecting abnormal price movements. Following discussions with the project team, MEXC will delist NRT and provide reasonable compensation to eligible users to protect their interests. The details are as follows:
- NRT deposits have been closed. Please do not make deposits to avoid any asset losses.
- MEXC delisted NRT and canceled all pending orders at Jan 17, 2025, 10:00 (UTC).
- After delisting, MEXC is expected to support NRT withdrawals for 30 days. During this period, if the project team discontinues on-chain maintenance, withdrawals will be closed accordingly.
Compensation Eligibility:
Users who purchased NRT through the NRT/USDT Spot trading pair between Jan 17, 2025, 09:00 (UTC) and Jan 17, 2025, 09:34 (UTC) will have their NRT tokens reclaimed by the platform and receive USDT equivalent as compensation. Details are as follows:
- Users who purchased but did not sell:
Scope: Applies to users who bought NRT before 09:34 (UTC) on January 17, 2025, and did not sell their holdings.
Compensation: The platform will refund the amount spent on the purchased NRT based on the user's buying price and reclaim all unsold NRT tokens from the user's account.
- Users who bought and sold NRT at a loss:
Scope: Applies to users who bought NRT and incurred a loss when selling it fully or partially.
Compensation: The platform will fully compensate the loss incurred from the buy and sell transactions to protect users' rights.
Calculation Example:
Assume User A buys 1 NRT at $250, then sells 0.5 NRT at $220 when the price drops.
- Compensation for trading loss: Loss = (Buy Price - Sell Price) × Amount Sold = ($250 - $220) × 0.5 = $15
- Reclaiming unsold portion: The platform will reclaim the remaining 0.5 NRT at the buy price of $250: $250 × 0.5 = $125
User will receive $15 as copensation for the trading loss, and $125 for the unsold NRT, totaling $140.
Compensation Timeline:
- Eligible users are expected to receive their USDT compensation by Jan 21, 2025,16:00 (UTC). Users can log into their accounts to check the status of their compensation.
Please Note:
- After delisting, please withdraw your tokens promptly to avoid any asset loss.
- All NRT tokens will be reclaimed by the platform and returned to the Nireafty (NRT) project team.
