Binance charges regular users 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot, 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker on USDT-margined futures, and a flat withdrawal fee that depends on the network.
Paying fees in BNB cuts spot fees to 0.075%.
A $1,000 spot market order therefore costs $1.00 before discounts, and withdrawing the proceeds over Tron adds another 1.5 USDT.

Key Takeaways
  • Binance charges regular users 0.10% maker and taker on spot and 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker on USDT-margined futures, per its fee schedule retrieved 7 September 2026.
  • The BNB fee deduction cuts spot fees to 0.075% and futures fees to 0.018% and 0.045%, and VIP pricing only starts at 1,000,000 USD of 30-day spot volume plus 5 BNB.
  • Binance withdrawal fees are flat per network: 1.5 USDT on Tron (TRC20), 0.3 USDT on Ethereum (ERC20) and 0.01 USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
  • A $1,000 round trip with market orders and a TRC20 withdrawal costs $3.50 on Binance, and $1.51 with limit orders, BNB and a BEP20 withdrawal.
  • Binance.US charges 0% maker and 0.02% taker since 22 April 2026, and Binance restricted EU services from 1 July 2026 under MiCA.
  • Against MEXC's 0% spot maker fee and 0.5 USDT TRC20 withdrawal, Binance's regular-tier schedule only wins on futures orders sent through an API.

Why the 0.10% headline is not your real Binance fee

Most searches for Binance fees end at the first number on the fee page: 0.10%.
That figure is accurate, but it is only the first of three cost layers.
The second layer is the spread inside instant products such as Convert, which shows no fee line and instead builds its margin into the quoted price.
The third layer is the withdrawal fee, which is flat per network and can exceed the trading fee on a small transfer.
This guide prices all three layers on the same $1,000, shows how to cut each one on Binance, and then, in the second half, sets the same $1,000 against MEXC's schedule.

Binance fee schedule at a glance (regular tier)

The table below is taken from Binance's Trading and Deposit/Withdrawal fee pages as displayed on 7 September 2026.
Regular tier means less than 1,000,000 USD of 30-day spot volume, or less than 5,000,000 USD of 30-day futures volume, with no BNB holding required.

Data verified as of 7 September 2026 against Binance's official fee schedule and Deposit/Withdrawal page.
VIP pricing starts at VIP 1, which on spot requires at least 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume and 5 BNB, and on futures at least 5,000,000 USD and 5 BNB.
At VIP 9 the schedule bottoms out at 0.011% maker and 0.023% taker on spot, and 0% maker and 0.017% taker on USDT-margined futures.
Binance counts Convert, copy trading and trading bot volume toward the spot VIP threshold, which helps active app users climb faster.
The ladder is flat at the bottom: spot taker stays at 0.10% through VIP 2, and futures taker only drops below 0.05% at VIP 2.
Two promotions were live on 7 September 2026: USDC-margined perpetuals at 0% maker and 0.040% taker, and TradFi perpetuals with no maker fee and up to 50% off taker fees for the promotion period.
Promotional rates are not standard rates, so this guide prices everything at the standard USDT figures unless stated otherwise.

The three cost layers behind every Binance trade

A single trade touches up to three separate charges, and the fee page only publishes the first.
The layers stack: you pay the trading fee to enter, a spread or a second trading fee to exit, and a network fee to leave the platform.

Layer 1: the trading fee, maker versus taker

A maker order rests on the order book until someone fills it, while a taker order fills immediately against existing orders.
On Binance spot, both cost 0.10% at the regular tier, so the maker discount found on many exchanges only appears at VIP 1, where maker drops to 0.090%.
A $1,000 spot order costs $1.00 either way, or $0.75 with the BNB deduction switched on.
On USDT-margined futures the split does exist: $0.20 as maker and $0.50 as taker per $1,000 of notional, or $0.18 and $0.45 with BNB.
Because futures fees apply to notional value, a 10x leveraged position of $10,000 built with $1,000 of margin pays $5.00 per taker fill, not $0.50.
Funding payments between long and short positions sit outside this schedule and are not reduced by BNB or VIP status.

Layer 2: spreads on Convert and card purchases

Binance's Convert FAQ states that no trading fee is charged, and that the quoted price already includes a spread which can vary with market conditions.
The amount shown in the preview is the amount you receive, so the cost is visible only if you compare the quote with the live order book.
Card purchases through Buy Crypto add a percentage charge from the payment provider, shown on the preview screen, that differs by region and card type.
Spot and futures orders are the Binance routes with a fixed, published fee rate, which is why the rest of this guide uses those rates rather than Convert quotes.

Layer 3: the withdrawal fee

Binance describes each withdrawal fee as a flat amount that covers the cost of moving the asset off the platform, set by network and subject to change without notice.
On 7 September 2026, sending 1,000 USDT out cost 1.5 USDT on Tron (TRC20), 0.3 USDT on Ethereum (ERC20), 0.1 USDT on Arbitrum One and 0.01 USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
On a $100 withdrawal the TRC20 fee equals 1.5% of the transfer, fifteen times the 0.10% trading fee on the same money.
Minimum withdrawal amounts also apply: 5 USDT on TRC20 and ERC20, 3 USDT on BEP20 and Arbitrum One.
For a small account, choosing the network is often the largest fee decision made on Binance.

The $1,000 round trip, priced

Put the three layers together on one realistic sequence: buy $1,000 of BTC, sell it, and withdraw the USDT.

Route choice, not the headline rate, decides whether the trip costs $3.50 or $1.51, and the withdrawal network alone moves the total by 1.49 USDT.

How to Reduce Binance Fees: BNB Discount, Limit Orders, VIP Tiers and Network Choice

Four settings decide most of a regular-tier bill.
Switch on the BNB fee deduction and keep a BNB balance, because the 25% spot and 10% futures discounts stop the moment the balance hits zero, and the BNB you hold carries its own price risk.
Use limit orders on futures, where maker is 0.020% against 0.050% taker, and remember that spot offers no maker discount until VIP 1.
Track the VIP thresholds if you are close: spot VIP 1 needs 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume plus 5 BNB, futures VIP 1 needs 5,000,000 USD plus 5 BNB, and Convert, copy trading and bot volume all count toward spot.
Use the cheaper USDC schedules: USDC spot pairs cost 0.095% taker, and USDC-margined perpetuals cost 0% maker and 0.040% taker while their promotion lasts.
Pick the withdrawal network deliberately: BNB Smart Chain at 0.01 USDT or Arbitrum One at 0.1 USDT instead of TRC20 at 1.5 USDT or ERC20 at 0.3 USDT, whenever the receiving wallet supports the cheaper chain.
Avoid card purchases for anything beyond a first small buy, since a card purchase carries its own provider charge on top of the spread in the quote.
Referral rebates exist, but Binance locks the referral at registration and cannot add it later, so this guide does not build its numbers on them.

Binance fees by region: US, EU and UK

United States

Binance's global platform does not serve US residents; the US market is served by Binance.US, a separate company with its own fee schedule.
On 22 April 2026, Binance.US moved to 0% maker and 0.02% taker on all spot pairs for every account, without volume tiers or subscriptions.
MEXC does not serve US residents either, so for US readers this section is information only.

European Union

Binance holds no MiCA authorisation and does not appear on the ESMA register of authorised crypto-asset service providers, which you can check on the ESMA MiCA page.
Binance has said that availability in Europe varies by country and product, and press reports in August and September 2026 described some EU onboarding continuing while ESMA reviews the wind-down.
MEXC holds no MiCA authorisation either and has ended services for residents of the European Economic Area, so EU readers should compare fees only among providers listed on the ESMA register.

United Kingdom

The FCA's consumer warning on Binance Markets Limited, last updated 7 June 2023, states that no entity in the Binance Group holds UK authorisation or registration to conduct regulated business in the UK.
MEXC does not accept UK residents and appears on the FCA's warning list, so UK readers should treat every figure here as reference material rather than an invitation to trade.

Scam warning: fake fee pages and fake support

Searches for Binance fees, KYC and withdrawal limits attract lookalike domains that copy Binance's layout, community posts that pair outdated numbers with referral codes, and offers to sell "verified" accounts.
Three checks avoid most of them.
Read fee figures only from the fee page of the exchange's own domain, and compare them with the amount shown on your order or withdrawal confirmation screen.
Verify any email, chat handle or website claiming to be support through the exchange's official verification tool before responding, because neither Binance nor MEXC will contact you first to request your password, 2FA code or a transfer.
Never buy or borrow a verified account; the seller keeps recovery access, and both exchanges restrict accounts whose identity checks fail, as our guide to MEXC account security explains.

On a $1,000 spot limit order, Binance charges $1.00, or $0.75 with BNB, and MEXC charges $0.00.
On a $1,000 spot market order the gap is $1.00 against $0.50, and on a BTCUSDT perpetual taker fill it is $0.50 against $0.20.
One caveat belongs in the same breath: orders sent to MEXC futures through the API are priced at 0.060% maker and 0.080% taker since 1 June 2026, which is above Binance's 0.020% and 0.050%.

Withdrawals: 0.5 USDT against 1.5 USDT on TRC20

The withdrawal layer is where the two schedules diverge most for small accounts.
Moving 1,000 USDT over Tron costs 1.5 USDT on Binance and 0.5 USDT on MEXC, over Ethereum 0.3 against 0.094 USDT, and over Solana 0.3 against 0.18 USDT, all as displayed on 7 September 2026.
Several rows tie: BTC over the Bitcoin network costs 0.00002 BTC on both, Lightning costs 0.000001 BTC on both, and USDT over BNB Smart Chain, Aptos and NEAR costs the same on both.
Minimums cut the other way in one case, since MEXC's minimum USDT withdrawal over Ethereum is 8 USDT against Binance's 5 USDT.

The round trip, side by side

Repeating the $1,000 round trip on both venues shows how the maker side drives the difference.

The cheapest Binance route in the table, at $1.51, still costs three times MEXC's limit-order route over TRC20, at $0.50, and the gap comes almost entirely from the maker side of the trade.

Scaling it up: $500,000 a month

The pain on Binance is that patience is not rewarded at the regular tier: a resting limit order pays the same 0.10% as an instant market order, and the only discount requires holding BNB.
MEXC prices the two sides differently by default.
Its standard spot rate is 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker, the MX deduction takes the taker rate to 0.0400%, and a separate "0 Fees" tag marks pairs that cost nothing on either side.
On 7 September 2026 that tag covered more than 380 spot pairs, including XRP/USDT and BTC/USDC, and more than 380 USDT-margined perpetuals, including SOLUSDT, XRPUSDT and DOGEUSDT.
BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT perpetuals carry a special rate of 0.000% maker with 0.020% and 0.010% taker respectively, while regular perpetual pairs cost 0.010% maker and 0.040% taker.
All of these figures come from the MEXC fee overview, which also notes that the MX deduction stops once your MX balance is used up and that some pairs are excluded from it.
Now the same trader on both venues, turning over $500,000 a month in spot.
As taker orders, that volume costs $6,000 a year on Binance, $4,500 with BNB, $3,000 on MEXC and $2,400 with the MX deduction.
As limit orders, it costs $6,000 a year on Binance, $4,500 with BNB, and $0 on MEXC.
Move the same $500,000 a month into taker orders on futures: $3,000 a year on Binance, $2,700 with BNB, $2,400 on a regular MEXC pair, $1,200 on BTCUSDT and $600 on ETHUSDT.
Three limits keep that comparison honest.
First, MEXC's API futures schedule is 0.060% maker and 0.080% taker since 1 June 2026, so the $500,000-a-month futures trader running a bot pays $4,800 a year on MEXC against $3,000 on Binance.
Second, the 0 Fees tag is a list that changes, and untagged pairs pay the regular rates above.
Third, Binance's order books are far deeper: CoinGecko's 2025 study puts Binance at 39.2% of top-10 spot volume and MEXC at 7.8%, and a large market order on a thin book can lose more to slippage than it saves in fees.
For a limit-order spot trader or a web and app futures trader at retail size, the fee gap is real money every month.
For the wider field, including Kraken, Coinbase and OKX, see our crypto exchange fee comparison.

Who should trade where

Choose MEXC if most of your spot orders are limit orders, if you trade BTC, ETH or the tagged 0 Fees perpetuals through the web or app, or if you move USDT over TRC20 often enough for 1 USDT per transfer to add up.
The simplest check is to open the fee overview, filter for 0 Fees, and see whether the pairs you trade are on the list.
Stay on Binance if you run futures bots through an API, since its regular-tier 0.020% and 0.050% sit below MEXC's API rate of 0.060% and 0.080%, if you place large market orders on major pairs where depth matters more than the fee, or if Binance's local fiat rails are the ones your bank supports.
If you are in the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union, neither platform serves you on the terms described here, and the right comparison is among providers licensed in your own jurisdiction.

The MEXC View

We publish this guide on MEXC Learn, so we have an obvious interest in how the comparison reads.
Two things we will not claim.
MEXC does not match Binance on liquidity, and the 39.2% against 7.8% split in CoinGecko's 2025 data is the honest size of that gap.
MEXC's fee advantage also stops at the API: since 1 June 2026, futures orders routed through the API cost 0.060% maker and 0.080% taker, more than Binance's regular-tier futures rate.
A third caveat: the 0 Fees list is a count taken on 7 September 2026, and pairs move on and off it.
Where the numbers favour MEXC, they are not marginal: a free maker side on spot, a $0.50 rather than $1.00 market order, a BTCUSDT perpetual at 0.020% taker, and a 0.5 USDT TRC20 withdrawal against 1.5 USDT.
Our MEXC review lists the other trade-offs, including the regions where MEXC is not available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Binance's spot trading fees?
Regular users pay 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot, or 0.075% with the BNB fee deduction, per Binance's fee schedule retrieved 7 September 2026.
VIP pricing starts at 1,000,000 USD of 30-day volume plus 5 BNB.

Does Binance charge deposit fees?
No, Binance does not charge fees on crypto deposits; you pay only the sending network's fee.
Fiat deposit costs depend on the payment method and are shown before you confirm.

How much is the Binance withdrawal fee for USDT?
As of 7 September 2026, USDT withdrawals cost 1.5 USDT on Tron (TRC20), 0.3 USDT on Ethereum (ERC20) and 0.01 USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
Binance adjusts these amounts with network conditions, so check the withdrawal screen before confirming.

Does the BNB discount apply to Binance Futures?
Yes, at 10% rather than the 25% spot discount, taking USDT-margined futures fees from 0.020% and 0.050% to 0.018% and 0.045%.
Funding payments are not discounted.

Is Binance cheaper than MEXC?
Not on spot or most futures pairs: MEXC charges 0% maker and 0.050% taker on spot against Binance's 0.10% and 0.10%.
The exception is futures orders placed through an API, where MEXC charges 0.060% maker and 0.080% taker, above Binance's regular-tier rate.

Is Binance Convert really free?
Binance's Convert FAQ says no trading fee is charged, but the quoted price already includes a spread that varies with market conditions.
The amount shown in the preview is exactly what you receive.

What are Binance.US fees?
Binance.US is a separate US company that moved to 0% maker and 0.02% taker on all spot pairs on 22 April 2026.
The global Binance platform does not serve US residents, and neither does MEXC.

How do I lower my Binance fees?
Enable the BNB fee deduction, place limit orders on futures, and withdraw over BNB Smart Chain or Arbitrum One instead of TRC20 or ERC20.
USDC-margined perpetuals cut futures fees further while their promotion lasts.

Disclosure and risk notice

This article is published by MEXC Learn, and MEXC competes with Binance for the same traders.
MEXC is not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom and the other jurisdictions listed in its User Agreement, and it has ended services for residents of the European Economic Area; see the MEXC restricted countries list.
Crypto trading carries a high risk of loss, and leveraged futures positions can be liquidated in full.
All fee figures were verified against official pages on 7 September 2026 and can change without notice; nothing here is financial advice.
If the numbers above match how you trade, the next step takes about three minutes.
