BingX scores 3.5 out of 5 on our six-dimension scorecard as of September 2026, leading on derivatives and copy-trading tooling and trailing on asset coverage and on the cost of following a top-tier lead; it suits copiers outside restricted markets who value roster depth, a 20 USDT ticket and a zero-slippage mode, and it is the wrong pick for anyone who wants to trade before full KYC or who pays a lead the top Elite share.

Key Takeaways
  • BingX scores 3.5 out of 5 overall, with a 4.0 on derivatives and a 3.0 on asset coverage, its lowest mark.
  • Spot fees are 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker at VIP 0, perpetuals are 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker, and standard futures carry a flat 0.045% at every tier, so $50,000 of monthly spot taker volume costs $600 a year against $300 at MEXC's 0.05% standard rate.
  • Public lead traders take 8% to 32% of copier profit by Elite tier, private mode allows up to 50%, and settlement runs weekly, so copying a top-tier lead with 2,000 USDT costs about 761 USDT a year in our worked example against 384 USDT on MEXC.
  • On 20 September 2024 BingX suspended withdrawals after a hot-wallet breach of more than $43 million, said user losses would be covered, and restored withdrawals for major assets within a day.
  • Advanced KYC is required to trade, deposit or use fiat services, unverified accounts can withdraw up to 20,000 USDT per rolling 24 hours, and Advanced KYC lifts that to 5,000,000 USDT.
  • Readers who want a 10% default profit share, daily settlement and a 0% spot maker rate will find them on MEXC; readers who want the deepest lead-trader roster and spot copy trading should stay.

What Is BingX Best Known For, and Is It Still Worth It in 2026?

BingX built its brand on copy trading, and in 2026 that is still the reason to open an account: three copy markets in one place, a self-reported roster of 400,000 or more elite traders, a 20 USDT starting ticket and an optional zero-slippage mode, set against an entry-tier fee schedule that sits in the middle of the field and a listing pipeline smaller than its peers.
Most reviews of BingX stop at the roster size.
The number a copier lives with is different: the fee on every mirrored fill plus the share of profit the lead takes, paid every week.
That share ranges from 8% to 32% for public leads by Elite tier, and private mode allows anything from 0% to 50%.
The second thing most reviews get wrong is the security record.
Some pages say BingX has never been hacked and others quote three different loss figures, so this review runs the September 2024 breach as a dated timeline with the outcome stated beside it.
The third is verification, because BingX now requires Advanced KYC before an account can trade or deposit, and older guides still describe tiers that no longer exist.
The rest of this review scores all of that dimension by dimension.

How We Scored BingX

This review scores BingX from 0 to 5 on six equally weighted dimensions: fees and costs, asset coverage, derivatives, security and custody, deposits and withdrawals, and customer support.
Every figure comes from BingX's own fee schedule, help centre, copy-trading rule pages or disclaimer, from a regulator, from CoinGecko exchange data, or from an established news organisation, and each carries a retrieval date.
Regional availability and regulatory standing are disclosed but never scored, because a platform is either usable where you live or it is not.
MEXC operates a competing exchange, and the full scoring rules, source hierarchy and conflict-of-interest policy are published in our exchange review methodology.
The support score is based on published channels only; our timed-ticket test for this platform is scheduled for the next review cycle.

BingX Scorecard 2026: Six Scores and One Overall Figure

BingX earns 3.5 out of 5 overall, with a 4.0 on derivatives, 3.5 on fees, security, deposits and support, and 3.0 on asset coverage, a profile that rewards copiers and TradFi perpetual traders more than it rewards altcoin hunters.

What Does BingX Charge in Fees?

Fees and costs: 3.5 out of 5.
BingX charges 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker on spot at VIP 0, 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker on perpetual futures, and a flat 0.045% on standard futures collected when a position closes, with a VIP ladder that reaches 0% maker and 0.028% taker on perpetuals at Supreme VIP.
Those are the rates on BingX's fee schedule support articles and its VIP announcement, verified on 3 September 2026.
The perpetual entry rate is competitive, tying the large offshore platforms at 0.02% and 0.05%.
The spot rate is the ordinary 0.1% per side, with no maker rebate at the entry tier.
Withdrawals are priced per network, and the gap between the cheapest and dearest USDT route runs to about 150 times, a detail set out in our guide to BingX fees.
Our methodology prices the same monthly volume on every platform, so the table below runs three volumes as spot taker orders for a full year.
Monthly spot taker volume
BingX at 0.1%
MEXC at 0.05%
MEXC with MX deduction at 0.04%
$1,000
$12 a year
$6 a year
$4.80 a year
$50,000
$600 a year
$300 a year
$240 a year
$500,000
$6,000 a year
$3,000 a year
$2,400 a year
Annual cost at each platform's published entry or standard tier, verified as of 3 September 2026; spreads, funding, card fees and network fees are excluded.
On perpetuals the same $500,000 of monthly taker notional costs $3,000 a year at BingX's 0.05%, $2,400 on a standard MEXC contract at 0.040%, and $1,200 on BTCUSDT at MEXC's 0.020% pair rate.
MEXC's futures figures apply to web and app orders, because API-routed futures orders on MEXC carry a separate schedule of 0.060% maker and 0.080% taker, and some MEXC contracts sit above BingX's flat rate, so a bot trader should check the pair rather than the headline.

What Does Copy Trading on BingX Actually Cost?

A copier on BingX pays the futures fee on every mirrored fill and then hands a lead trader between 8% and 32% of profit by Elite tier, or up to 50% in private mode, settled weekly on Mondays at 00:00 UTC+8 on fully closed net-profitable positions, so the roster is free to browse and the following is not.
BingX runs three copy markets in one account: perpetual futures, standard futures and spot, with spot fixed at a flat 10% share.
Its starting ticket is 20 USDT, its optional zero-slippage mode matches the lead's fill price when the system can pair the order, and its public profiles show Sharpe ratio and maximum drawdown.
Those are real advantages, and the cost line sits beside them.
Take a copier allocating 2,000 USDT who generates 50,000 USDT of copied taker volume a month and a 6% gross month, which is 120 USDT of gross profit.
On BingX the fills cost 25 USDT a month at 0.05%, and a top-tier lead at 32% takes 38.40 USDT of the 120 USDT, so the year costs 300 USDT in fees and 460.80 USDT in profit share, or 760.80 USDT.
At an entry-tier lead charging 8%, the year costs 300 USDT plus 115.20 USDT, or 415.20 USDT.
On MEXC, charging the top of its standard taker range at 0.040%, the fills cost 20 USDT a month and the 10% default share takes 12 USDT, so the year costs 240 USDT plus 144 USDT, or 384 USDT.
Weekly versus daily settlement is not a detail either, because a lead who nets positive over a week still earns on BingX after a losing second half, while a daily payout that only fires on positive cumulative profit resets after every drawdown.
The full worked model is in our MEXC vs BingX copy-trading comparison.

How Broad Is BingX's Asset Coverage?

Asset coverage: 3.0 out of 5.
CoinGecko tracked 649 coins and 662 spot pairs on BingX as of 3 September 2026 and counted 565 new perpetual contracts between January 2025 and April 2026, a smaller catalogue and a slower pipeline than the large offshore platforms, and BingX publishes no periodic listing count.
We do not score platforms on self-reported coin totals, and BingX's own figure of 1,100 or more spot assets is not comparable to a tracked count.
For a copier the pipeline matters twice, because a lead can only trade a contract that exists and a follower can only mirror a market the venue lists.
BingX is not among the eight platforms in our listing disclosure index, so its delisting notice periods and withdrawal windows have not been measured by us, and that gap is stated rather than filled with an estimate.
Where BingX does reach further than most is beyond crypto, with bStocks tokenized stocks on spot alongside its TradFi perpetuals, which is scored under derivatives below.

How Strong Is BingX for Derivatives?

Derivatives: 4.0 out of 5.
BingX runs perpetual futures, standard futures and TradFi perpetuals on gold, silver, oil, forex pairs, US stocks and indices, with copy trading extending into those markets, which is the broadest non-crypto perpetual range in this comparison, set against a perpetual entry fee that is competitive rather than lowest.
Leverage on BingX is set per contract, and we do not quote a single maximum figure, because its own pages cite 125x to 150x on selected crypto perpetuals while a higher figure circulates for selected forex contracts, and a leverage number without its position band is marketing rather than a specification.
Standard futures are priced at a flat 0.045% at every tier and collected on close, which is simple to model and slightly dearer than the perpetual maker rate.
The unified copy-trading layer across perpetuals, standard futures and spot is the product feature that separates BingX from platforms that copy perpetuals only.
Cost is where the score stops at 4.0, since a maker on a standard MEXC pair pays 0.010% against BingX's 0.02%, and a taker pays 0.040% against 0.05%, with BTCUSDT on MEXC at 0% maker and 0.020% taker.

Is BingX Safe? Security, Custody and the 2024 Breach

Security and custody: 3.5 out of 5.
BingX disclosed one security incident, a hot-wallet breach on 20 September 2024 in which more than $43 million was drained, said user losses would be covered, restored withdrawals for major assets within a day, and publishes a proof-of-reserves page, which places it in the competitive band with a real limitation rather than the leading one.
The timeline is short and public.
At around 4:00 AM Singapore time on 20 September 2024 BingX detected unauthorised access to a hot wallet and suspended withdrawals and deposits, and on-chain data reported by CoinDesk showed more than $43 million drained.
BingX's chief product officer said publicly that the loss was manageable and that any user losses would be covered, and withdrawals for major assets resumed by the morning of 21 September, with deposits following by 22 September.
That is a breach handled in the open, and CoinGecko records no incident against BingX in the twelve months to September 2026.
Our rule for this dimension is consistent across the series: an incident inside the last two years that ended with users made whole, on a platform that publishes reserves, scores 3.5.
Third-party review sites disagree about whether BingX publishes an audited proof of reserves, and our position is the narrow one: a reserves page exists, CoinGecko lists about $684 million in reserves for BingX, and we count both as disclosure rather than as an independent attestation.
For the full incident record across the industry, our crypto exchange hacks database lists 81 breaches with their reimbursement outcomes.

How Easy Are Deposits and Withdrawals on BingX?

Deposits and withdrawals: 3.5 out of 5.
BingX requires Advanced KYC verification to trade, deposit, use fiat services or join Launchpad, its help centre publishes only two account states, unverified accounts can withdraw up to 20,000 USDT equivalent per rolling 24 hours, and Advanced KYC lifts that ceiling to 5,000,000 USDT, with on-ramps by card and peer-to-peer trading.
The rolling window matters, because the 24 hours are measured from your last withdrawal rather than reset at midnight.
The gate before the first deposit is the limitation that keeps this score at 3.5, since an account cannot fund itself before verification is complete.
Withdrawal fees are set per asset and per network, and the same USDT can cost roughly 150 times more on one route than on another, which is why the network choice deserves a check before every transfer.
What each account state can and cannot do is set out in our guide to BingX KYC requirements, and the two limit figures are in our guide to BingX withdrawal limits.

What Is BingX Customer Support Like?

Customer support: 3.5 out of 5.
BingX publishes a help centre and an online support channel, and we have capped the score below 4.0 until our own timed ticket test runs, because a published channel is a promise and a timed reply is a measurement.
Our rule is one non-urgent ticket per platform per review cycle, timed from submission to a reply that answers the question, and BingX's test is scheduled for the next cycle.
Third-party review sites carry a mixed record on response quality, and our methodology does not count aggregate star ratings, so those reports are noted here rather than scored.

Where Is BingX Available, and Where Is MEXC?

BingX's official disclaimer names the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China among its restricted jurisdictions, its EU authorisation was pending as of June 2026, and MEXC is unavailable to residents of the United States and the United Kingdom and holds no MiCA authorisation, so readers in those markets should choose a locally licensed platform whichever review they are reading.
BingX
CoinGecko records a Digital Currency Exchange registration for BingX in Australia.
Finance Magnates reported that BingX's EU entity had a MiCAR application pending with the Austrian regulator and no authorisation as of 16 June 2026.
Copy-trading availability is narrower than exchange availability, so the copy-trading terms deserve a separate read before funding an account.
MEXC
MEXC does not serve residents of the United States or the United Kingdom, and readers there should use a platform licensed by their local regulator.
As of 17 September 2026, MEXC is not authorised under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation and appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities following a September 2025 decision by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets; readers in the EU and EEA should treat a MiCA-authorised platform as the appropriate option.

BingX Benefits and Limitations

Benefits
  • Three copy markets in one account, with spot copy fixed at a flat 10% share, so a beginner can copy without leverage.
  • A self-reported roster of 400,000 or more elite traders, a 20 USDT starting ticket, an optional zero-slippage mode, and Sharpe ratio and drawdown metrics on trader cards.
  • TradFi perpetuals across gold, silver, oil, forex, US stocks and indices, plus bStocks tokenized stocks on spot.
  • A 2024 breach that was disclosed the same day, with compensation pledged and withdrawals restored within a day.
Limitations
  • Public leads take 8% to 32% of profit by Elite tier and private leads up to 50%, settled weekly rather than daily.
  • Spot pricing of 0.1% per side at the entry tier, with no maker rebate below the VIP ladder.
  • A tracked catalogue of 649 coins and 565 new perpetuals in sixteen months, smaller than the large offshore platforms, and no published listing count.
  • Advanced KYC required before the first deposit, and withdrawal fees that vary about 150 times across USDT routes.

Who BingX Is For, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

BingX is the right pick for copiers who want the deepest lead-trader roster, spot copy trading, a 20 USDT ticket and TradFi perpetuals in the same account, and it is the wrong pick for anyone who wants to trade before full KYC, who follows a lead at the top Elite tiers, or who hunts new listings.
BingX is the right pick if:
  • You copy trade and your strategy depends on finding one specific kind of lead among a very large roster.
  • You want to copy without leverage, through spot copy at a flat 10% share.
  • You trade forex, index or commodity perpetuals and want copy trading on top of them.
Look elsewhere if:
  • You follow a top-tier lead and a profit share of up to 32%, settled weekly, is a number you notice.
  • You place resting spot orders and a 0.1% maker fee is a number you notice.
  • You want to be early on new perpetual listings from a venue that publishes how many it adds each month.
Readers in the second group who are outside the United States, the United Kingdom and the EEA can compare MEXC's published rates in the section below, and our comparison of BingX alternatives covers four copy-trading platforms on the same terms.

The MEXC View

MEXC operates a competing exchange, and this section is where our own position is stated rather than implied.
BingX beats MEXC on roster depth, on the 20 USDT entry ticket, on the zero-slippage copy mode, on spot copy trading, on risk metrics shown on trader cards, and on the breadth of its TradFi perpetuals, and if any of those is why you are on BingX, the honest advice is to stay.
Where MEXC is the answer is the cost stack of following a lead and the spot fee line.
A copier following a top-tier lead pays about 761 USDT a year on BingX in the 2,000 USDT example above and about 384 USDT on MEXC, because MEXC's default profit share is 10%, printed on each trader card, and settlement runs daily and only fires on positive cumulative profit.
A spot maker pays $600 a year on $50,000 of monthly volume at BingX's 0.1% and $0 at MEXC's published 0% maker rate, and a spot taker pays $600 against $300, or $240 with the MX deduction.
Two boundaries keep that claim honest.
The zero applies to spot maker orders and to web and app futures orders, not to API-routed futures, which MEXC prices at 0.06% maker and 0.08% taker, and some MEXC contracts carry rates above BingX's flat 0.05%.
And MEXC does not serve the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or EU readers under MiCA, so the saving is available to readers outside those markets.
MEXC also has no spot copy trading and no zero-slippage mode, so a copier who wants either of those has no equivalent on our side.
Our review desk's verdict is that BingX sells the roster and MEXC sells the cost line, and a copier should decide which of the two they pay for every week.
The head-to-head numbers are in our MEXC vs BingX comparison.
