While Ripple (XRP) remains a staple of the majority of whale portfolios, on-chain activity in recent weeks shows large investors pouring heavily into Mutuum Finance (MUTM). The utility-driven DeFi altcoin is priced at just $0.035 in Stage 6 of its already over 55% sold-out presale. With $16.85 million+ raised and 16,750+ holders, the presale suggests confidence from early investors.

As opposed to XRP, which only benefits from cross-border payment adoption and speculative positioning, MUTM offers dual lending infrastructure, delivering actual utility and sustainable growth. Whales are cycling into Mutuum Finance for asymmetric upside potential, and it’s a unique sub-$1 crypto that can offer gigantic returns as adoption grows in the DeFi sector.

XRP Maintains Key Support During Mid-Cycle Pause

Ripple (XRP) remains in a robust macro uptrend regardless of the recent drawdown, which analysts consider to be a mid-cycle pause rather than a reversal. The $2.85 support has remained firm, and price action is coiling within a falling wedge, a bullish setup that resolves higher.

Traders are also watching $3.40 as a strong resistance level, and a move above this level may open up gains above $5 in this cycle. While XRP is still on the radar of technical traders, the majority of investors are also considering alternative DeFi opportunity Mutuum Finance (MUTM), which is picking up momentum in the market.

MUTM Presale Momentum Gains Speed

MUTM tokens are priced at $0.035 in Round 6 Presale, which is a 16.17% rise compared to the previous round. Solid investor demand persists with over 16,750 investors raising a total of $16.85 million to date.

Mutuum Finance is preparing to deploy its lending and borrowing protocol, a key step to further solidify its grasp in the DeFi market. V1 of the protocol will be deployed on Sepolia Testnet in Q4 2025 with required features such as liquidity pool, mtToken, debt token, liquidator bot, etc. With ETH and USDT support for lending, borrowing, and collateral from day one, the protocol is looking to offer a robust and user-friendly decentralized finance experience.

Another step taken to construct the platform’s security, Mutuum Finance has launched a $50,000 USDT Bug Bounty Program, and white-hat hackers and developers are welcome to report bugs. There are four levels of bug severities, i.e., low, minor, major, and critical, available so that bugs might be detected on time and resolved. As a gesture of appreciation to its early investors, the team also unveiled a $100,000 giveaway, to compensate 10 lucky winners with 10,000 MUTM tokens each.

MUTM is based on robust collateral management to protect the network and users. Unconditional deposit limits, borrowing limits, and collateral ratios are some of the features that render it safe. Real-time closure and remediation fees and penalties on undercollateral position stabilize the platform and reduce systemic risk.

Whales See What’s Coming

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is rapidly emerging as the investment of choice for individuals seeking explosive upside outside the typical altcoins like Ripple (XRP). With Stage 6 of its presale already over 55% sold out and with more than 16,750 investors and in excess of $16.85 million invested, whale activity is signaling growing confidence in its long-term potential. The upcoming launch of its lending and borrowing protocol, along with real-yield tokenomics and extensive security measures like the $50,000 bug bounty program, showcases the project’s commitment to building a strong DeFi ecosystem. As institutional players invest capital into projects with tangible use cases and growing potential, MUTM’s early traction positions it as a standout opportunity in 2025. Secure your presale allocation today and join the investors who are getting ahead of the curve on the next giant leap for decentralized finance.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
