Launched in June 2021, the project utilizes a "reflection" mechanism designed to reward long-term holders while systematically reducing the total supply.

Issuance Mechanism

Baby Doge Coin launched with a massive fixed total supply of 420 quadrillion tokens. Unlike its predecessor Dogecoin, which has an inflationary supply, Baby Doge is strictly deflationary.

• Initial Burn: Upon launch, approximately 125 quadrillion tokens (nearly 30% of the supply) were immediately burned.
• Continuous Deflation: The supply is further reduced through a 10% fee applied to every on-chain transaction. A portion of this fee is sent to a "dead wallet." Because this dead wallet is also a token holder, it receives a share of the reflections, effectively creating an automated and continuous burn process.
• Manual Burns: The development team frequently conducts manual monthly burns to further manage the circulating supply. As of early 2024, over 51% of the total supply has been permanently removed from circulation.

The core of Baby Doge's economic model is its 10% transaction fee, which serves as the primary incentive for holders:

• Reflections (5%): Half of the transaction fee is redistributed to all existing token holders. This allows users to earn passive income simply by holding the token in a private wallet, as their balance increases automatically with every network transaction.
• Liquidity Generation (5%): The remaining half of the fee is split again. 2.5% remains as BABYDOGE, while the other 2.5% is converted into BNB. These are then paired and added as a liquidity pair on decentralized exchanges like PancakeSwap to maintain market stability.
• Ecosystem Utility: Beyond simple holding, the token is used within the BabyDoge Swap decentralized exchange for lower fees, as a payment method for AI-generated NFT creation, and within integrated gaming applications like BabyDoge Chess.

Locking Mechanism and Unlocking Time

Baby Doge Coin employs specific locking protocols to ensure community trust and prevent sudden liquidity drains:

• Liquidity Locking: The initial liquidity provided on PancakeSwap was locked to prevent "rug pulls." The project also offers a free "Token Locker" service for other projects to lock their own liquidity or team tokens on the BNB and Ethereum chains.
• Vesting and Unlocks: Current data indicates that approximately 96.07% of the total valuation is already unlocked. A remaining portion of approximately 7,970 trillion tokens (roughly 3.93%) remains locked.
• Upcoming Schedule: Small-scale unlocking events continue to occur. For instance, a scheduled unlock of approximately 65.34 trillion tokens (0.03% of total supply) is anticipated in the near term.
