Common Reasons Users Can't Participate in Events or Claim Rewards

Recently, MEXC has received feedback from some users who are unable to participate in events or claim rewards as expected. To help ensure a smooth experience when joining platform events, we have outlined the most common reasons below. Please review them before participating.

1. Event eligibility: Unable to participate

You may be unable to access or participate in an event due to one or more of the following reasons:
  • Abnormal account status: Such as login issues or triggered risk control measures.
  • The event has ended: Once an event ends, it is no longer possible to participate or complete tasks.
  • Region or account restrictions: Certain regions or account types may not be eligible to participate in specific events. This may result in being unable to open the event page or receiving an ineligibility notice.
  • Using unofficial or expired event links: This may cause the page to fail to load, display inconsistent rules, or redirect incorrectly.

2. Reward claim: Participated but unable to claim

If you have already participated in an event but are unable to claim rewards, possible reasons include:

2.1 Rewards are still within the distribution period

Reward distribution timelines are specified on the event page. For example, rewards may be distributed within 7 business days after the event ends. Public holidays may cause delays.

2.2 Event conditions not met

For example:
  • Deposit amount does not meet the requirement
  • Trading volume is insufficient
  • Invitation count or referred users' KYC does not meet requirements
  • Not all required tasks were completed
Any of the above may result in ineligibility for rewards.

2.3 Reward quota fully allocated: First come, first served

Once all reward slots are filled, subsequent participants will no longer be able to receive rewards.

2.4 Reward conflicts: Rewards cannot be combined

For some events, if reward rules overlap with other similar platform events during the same period, rewards cannot be stacked. If you participate multiple times, you will only receive one set of rewards. Please refer to the event rules for details.

2.5 KYC not completed or KYC verification failed

If the event requires KYC, rewards cannot be issued if KYC is not completed or not approved.

2.6 Reward display or system issues

If you encounter display errors or delayed reward updates, please contact Customer Service for confirmation.

2.7 Data review or synchronization delay

If backend data verification has not been completed, reward distribution may be delayed. Please contact Customer Service for confirmation.

2.8 Rewards blocked due to risk control

Accounts that trigger event-related risk control measures will not receive rewards. Please contact Customer Service for further clarification.

3. Risk Control FAQ

3.1 What may trigger Risk control measures?

To ensure event fairness, maintain platform integrity, and prevent abuse, MEXC applies multi-dimensional risk control measures when evaluating event participation eligibility.
At key stages such as event registration, participation, and reward distribution, if abnormal or high-risk behavior is detected, MEXC reserves the right to revoke event eligibility.
This includes, but is not limited to:
  • False or abnormal identity information: Using another person's identity, impersonating accounts, providing inaccurate information, or failing KYC verification.
  • High-risk account behavior: Involvement in fraud, malicious profit-seeking, rule violations, or actions that may harm the platform or other users.
  • Abnormal trading behavior: Including wash trading, self-trading, coordinated trading, abnormal high-frequency trading, or transactions lacking reasonable economic purpose.
  • Abnormal personal information: Use of temporary email addresses, suspicious contact details, or clearly abnormal registration information.
  • Batch account creation: Creating multiple accounts through automated or manual means.
  • Abnormal event participation: Exploiting loopholes, abusing event mechanisms, or participating in ways clearly inconsistent with the event's intent.
  • Coordinated or group behavior: Organized or networked participation designed to obtain improper benefits.
If rewards cannot be claimed due to risk control, it means the system has detected abnormal transactions or operations.
Risk control measures may vary by event. These controls do not affect normal trading or participation in other platform features.
To improve future eligibility, we recommend maintaining genuine trading behavior and avoiding frequent account creation or abnormal actions.

3.2 If I cannot participate in an event, can I still use other platform features?

Yes. Event-related restrictions apply only to specific event eligibility and do not affect normal platform usage, including deposits, trading, withdrawals, or other standard features.

3.3 If I cannot participate in this event, can I join other events?

Eligibility is evaluated independently based on each event's rules and risk control measures. Triggering risk control in one event does not necessarily affect eligibility for other events.
  • MEXC regularly launches new events. Please visit the Event Center for the latest updates.
  • Earn products: If you are unable to use a specific Earn product due to risk control measures, or if your position is automatically redeemed as a result of such measures, we recommend trying again after 30 days. If you are restricted from certain products, you can still use other available Earn products. Refer to the on-screen notification for the final result.

3.4 Why were my rewards revoked?

To ensure fairness and platform security, MEXC enforces strict risk control monitoring.
  • If abnormal or high-risk behavior is detected from you or your referred users, including violations identified after rewards have been issued, MEXC reserves the right to reclaim the rewards.
  • Earn products: If risk control measures are triggered for a specific Earn product, your eligibility to continue participating will be suspended, and any accrued interest during that period will be forfeited.
