MEXC Futures Loss Coverage FAQ

1. Futures Loss Coverage Voucher Basics

1.1 What is a Futures loss coverage?

A Futures loss coverage is a form of trading protection offered by MEXC. When you use this voucher for Futures trading and incur a loss, the platform will compensate your loss up to the voucher's coverage limit in the form of a Futures bonus, helping reduce risk and trade with greater confidence.

Reminder: Each Futures loss coverage has a maximum compensation amount. Please refer to the information displayed on the voucher you received for the exact amount.

1.2 What are the compensation rules?

Compensation amount = Your actual realized loss upon closing the position (excluding trading fees)
  • If the loss amount is less than the voucher value, the full actual loss will be compensated.
  • If the loss amount is greater than the voucher value, compensation will be capped at the voucher's maximum face value.

Example: Assume you hold a 50 USDT Futures loss coverage. If your realized loss upon closing is 30 USDT, you will receive 30 USDT in compensation. If your realized loss is 80 USDT, you will receive 50 USDT in compensation, which is the maximum value of the voucher.

1.3 When will the compensation be credited?

Compensation is usually credited automatically immediately after the position is closed. You can check the compensated amount on the voucher in the Voucher Center, and the Futures bonus will be credited directly to your Futures account.

1.4 Which order types support the use of Futures loss coverage?

Not supported

  • During order confirmation, the page will display the Futures loss coverage option.
  • Tap this option to open the voucher selection pop-up.
  • Select the Futures loss coverage you want to use, then confirm the order.

2.2 How does the system automatically select a Futures loss coverage ?

If you have multiple available Futures loss coverage vouchers, the system will automatically select one based on the following priority:
  • Priority 1: Earliest expiration time The system will first select the voucher that is closest to expiring.
  • Priority 2: Highest compensation amount If multiple vouchers share the same expiration time, the system will select the one with the highest compensation limit.
  • Priority 3: Earliest distribution time If multiple vouchers still qualify, the system will select the one that was distributed earliest.

2.3 How can I check whether my current position or order is using a Futures loss coverage?

If you have already used Futures loss coverage, you can check it in the following places:
  • Current Positions: The "Loss Coverage Applied" label will be displayed.
  • Open Orders: The "Loss Coverage Applied" label will be displayed.

Tap the label to view the detailed usage rules of the Futures loss coverage voucher.

2.4 Where can I view my Futures loss coverage?

You can view your compensation in Position History or in the Voucher Center.

3. Futures Loss Coverage Status and Reminder

3.1 Will I receive a reminder before my Futures loss coverage expires?

Yes. When there are less than 24 hours remaining before the voucher expires, the system will automatically display a countdown reminder so you can use it in time.

3.2 What happens to the Futures loss coverage after I cancel an order?

After an order is canceled, the voucher status will automatically revert:
  • If the Futures loss coverage voucher is still within its validity period, its status will return to Unused, and you may continue using it for other orders.
  • If the Futures loss coverage has already expired, its status will change to Expired and it can no longer be used.

3.3 Will the system notify me if the Futures loss coverage is expiring when I cancel an order or close a position?

Yes. Whether you cancel a single order, cancel all orders with one tap, or close a position with one tap, if the related order used Futures loss coverage and the voucher has less than 24 hours remaining before expiration, including already expired vouchers, the system will display an expiration reminder.

Reminder rules: The system will prioritize the voucher that is closest to expiring or has already expired. If there are multiple expired vouchers, the system will display the one with the highest amount. If the amounts are the same, it will display the voucher that was distributed earliest.

4. Troubleshooting

4.1 Why does my Futures loss coverage show as unavailable?

If you hold Futures loss coverage but it shows as unavailable, please check the following:
  • There is an existing position or open order for the current trading pair: Make sure there is no active position or open order for the trading pair you are currently trading, such as BTCUSDT. Otherwise, the voucher cannot be used.
  • KYC verification is incomplete: Please make sure you have completed the required Primary or Advanced KYC Verification.
  • The selected order type is not supported: Please use limit order, market order, chase limit order, or post only. Trailing stop orders and trigger orders do not currently support Futures loss coverage vouchers.

A Futures loss coverage is a risk protection tool provided by MEXC for Futures trading. When used properly, it can effectively reduce trading risk. It is recommended that you keep an eye on the voucher's validity period and use it before expiration to make full use of this benefit.
