The Department of Homeland Security said it had partnered with the FBI to raid more than 20 locations in Minneapolis, MN, as part of an investigation into "rampant fraud."
The Department of Justice confirmed to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin that the two agencies were working together and "currently raiding 20+ locations... in relation to ongoing federal fraud investigations."

According to Melugin, the locations were largely Somali-linked businesses, including daycares, highlighted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley. His report alleged that the daycares defrauded the state of $111 million. The Minnesota Star Tribune later visited 10 of the facilities and found that none of the owners had ever been charged with fraud.
"Today the FBI with federal, state and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation," a DOJ spokesperson told Melugin.
In a statement posted to X, the Department of Homeland Security said that the criminal warrants were executed "relating to the rampant fraud of U.S. taxpayers dollars."
