Coinbase's retail app publishes no single withdrawal limit: your limits appear under Account limits in Settings and depend on payment method, verification and history.
The $100,000 a day figure belongs to Coinbase Exchange, the institutional venue, the $25,000 figure comes from old Coinbase Pro guides, and crypto sends clear only after blockchain confirmations.

Key Takeaways
  • The Coinbase app publishes no single daily withdrawal limit; your limits sit under Account limits in Settings and depend on verification, purchase history and payment type.
  • The $100,000 a day figure is Coinbase Exchange's default fiat withdrawal limit for ACH and Fedwire, and the $25,000 figure comes from guides written in the Coinbase Pro era.
  • Crypto bought with a cash deposit on hold can be traded but not sent until the hold lifts, typically at 23:59 PT on the date in your confirmation email, and Coinbase Support cannot shorten it.
  • Crypto sends cost Coinbase's estimate of the network fee, plus 0.01% on USDT capped at 20 USDT and 0.2% on Lightning, while transfers between Coinbase users are free.
  • Instant card cashouts typically arrive in about 30 minutes and can take up to 24 hours, and Coinbase's US derivatives cash-out page gives 1 to 3 business days for ACH or wire.
  • MEXC prints its ceilings in advance: 80 BTC a day after Primary KYC, 200 BTC after Advanced KYC, flat per-network fees such as 0.094 USDT on Ethereum, and a 5 to 60 minute manual review window.

Why "Coinbase daily withdrawal limit" has three answers online

Search the phrase and the first page offers $25,000 a day, $100,000 a day and "it depends," often in the same article.
The $25,000 figure comes from third-party guides written in the Coinbase Pro era, a product Coinbase has since folded into Coinbase Advanced, and it does not appear on any of the Coinbase Help pages this guide checked.
The $100,000 figure is real, but it is the default fiat withdrawal limit on Coinbase Exchange, the institutional venue, not the app most readers use.
The retail rule is the third answer: Coinbase Help says your limits are displayed in the Account limits section of Settings and depend on the verification completed, your purchase history, your payment type and more.
This guide separates the four Coinbase products that carry limits, explains the deposit holds that block more withdrawals than any limit does, prices and times each route out, and then, in the second half, sets the result against MEXC's published rules.

Withdrawal limits by Coinbase product

Coinbase runs four products with their own withdrawal rules, and the SERP confusion comes from mixing them up.
Product
Published withdrawal limit
Notes
Coinbase app (retail)
No single figure; shown in Settings under Account limits and set by payment method, verification and history
Coinbase does not generally limit how much crypto you sell to your cash balance; US customers need a positive available balance to withdraw
Coinbase Exchange
Default fiat withdrawal $100,000 a day by ACH or Fedwire, $10,000,000 a day by SWIFT, €100,000 a day by SEPA, £100,000 a day by Faster Payments
Wire and SEPA deposits are unlimited; ACH deposits follow a weekly bank transfer limit; limits can be raised on request
Coinbase Prime
Customisable daily cap on crypto plus fiat, from $500,000 to unlimited
Resets every 24 hours at a chosen hour; changes require consensus and a YubiKey
Coinbase Card
Set in the Cardholder Agreement and shown in the app
No Coinbase transaction fee; ATM operators may charge; a spread applies when the card sells crypto
Data verified as of 8 September 2026 against Coinbase Help: "Account limits", "Deposit and Withdrawal Limits on Coinbase Exchange", "Daily Withdrawal Limit on Coinbase Prime" and "Coinbase pricing and fees disclosures".
For a retail account the practical answer is therefore a screen, not a number: open Settings, select Account limits, and read the figure next to each payment method.
The same page explains how to apply for a limit increase and how account levels unlock features such as sending and receiving crypto.

Available balance and deposit holds

More withdrawals fail on holds than on limits, and the rules are published.
Coinbase defines your available balance as the amount that can be transferred or cashed out, which is the total account value minus non-cash assets such as crypto, stocks and funds.
Cash deposits may be placed on hold, and during the hold you can buy, sell or trade crypto with the money, but you cannot send crypto bought with it, trade DEX assets or buy prediction market contracts until the hold is lifted.
Hold periods depend on account history, payment activity and transaction history, and Coinbase says the hold time cannot be altered for security and fraud-prevention reasons.
After a purchase or deposit you receive an email stating when the assets will be available, holds typically expire by 23:59 PT on that date, and disputed transactions or account safety checks can extend them.
Even after a hold clears, Coinbase says some sends and withdrawals to external accounts may be temporarily restricted, in which case you can wait and retry or withdraw the funds to the bank account they came from.
The one route that skips the hold is a debit card deposit, which Coinbase says can be used immediately to send crypto, trade DEX assets or buy prediction contracts.
Wire transfers and debit card purchases do not affect your ability to cash out, but they remain subject to any existing hold on the account.

Cash-out routes: fees, arrival times and published limits

Coinbase publishes the fee for each fiat route on its Exchange fee schedule, the retail app shows the fee and an arrival estimate on the cash-out preview, and only some routes carry a published time.

Data verified as of 7 and 8 September 2026 against the Coinbase Exchange fee schedule and limits page, and Coinbase Help "Instant cashouts" and "Cash out (US Derivatives)".
The 1 to 3 business day figure comes from Coinbase's US derivatives cash-out page, which covers ACH and wire transfers from the spot account to a linked bank; the retail app's own estimate appears on the preview.
Instant cashouts need an eligible, verified payment method, and Singapore accounts can only cash out to SGD bank accounts by FAST or USD bank accounts by SWIFT.

Sending crypto out: fees, minimums and timing

Coinbase charges a fee based on its estimate of the network fee for a stand-alone wallet-to-wallet send, and it discloses that the estimate may differ from what it pays because of batching or congestion.
USDT withdrawals add a 0.01% processing fee capped at 20 USDT, Lightning sends of BTC carry a 0.2% processing fee instead of an on-chain fee, and transfers between two Coinbase users' primary balances are free.
Minimum send amounts appear on the send screen for each asset and network.
Timing has two halves.
Coinbase broadcasts the transaction after its own checks, and its pending-transactions page says a brief loss of sync with the network can delay a send, usually for under an hour.
The blockchain then sets the clock, since Coinbase credits incoming funds only after confirmation and the receiving platform applies its own confirmation count.
Two send types stay pending by design: a send to an email address or phone number waits for the recipient and returns to you after 30 days if unclaimed, and a Lightning invoice stays pending for up to 72 hours until the sender completes it.
A first withdrawal to a self-custody wallet can also require a small deposit test, in which you send a small random amount from that wallet to Coinbase to prove you control the address.

How we test arrival time

Coinbase publishes windows rather than measured times, so this guide records the method it will use to fill the gap and marks the figures above as expected, not measured.
The protocol is simple: on a weekday, send 50 USDT over Ethereum and 0.001 BTC over the Bitcoin network from a verified Coinbase account to a fresh exchange address, and record five UTC timestamps for each transfer.
The five stamps are the moment the send is confirmed on Coinbase, the moment the transaction hash appears, the first network confirmation, the confirmation count the receiving platform requires, and the moment the balance is credited.
Repeat once at a weekend, publish both runs with the network fee shown on each preview, and refresh the table when the next test changes the picture.

Why your Coinbase withdrawal is stuck

Almost every stuck withdrawal on Coinbase maps to one of seven published rules.
A send that will not start right after a purchase usually means the cash deposit behind it is still on hold, and the fix is the date in your confirmation email or a debit card deposit next time.
A send blocked after the hold has ended is the temporary restriction Coinbase describes, and the published options are to retry later or to withdraw to the originating bank account.
A greyed-out cash-out button on a US account points to an available balance that is not positive, which the balance summary under Cash will show.
A rejected send to a new self-custody wallet means the small deposit test has not been completed from that wallet.
A transaction still pending after an hour usually means a network sync delay, an unclaimed email or phone send, or a Lightning invoice the sender has not completed, and the transaction hash on a block explorer tells you which.
A cash-out marked sent with nothing at the bank is usually the bank rail itself, which runs on business days for ACH and wires and can take up to 24 hours for an instant card cashout.
An unsupported asset sent to Coinbase can sometimes be recovered, at the network fee plus 5% of any value above $100.

How to Move Funds From Coinbase to Another Exchange Without Losing Them

The steps below use MEXC as the destination, because MEXC publishes this guide, and they apply to any exchange that shares a network with Coinbase.
First, open Wallet and then Deposit on the destination exchange, choose the asset, pick a network that Coinbase also lists for that asset, and copy the address plus any memo or tag the page shows.
Second, open Send on Coinbase, paste the address, select the same network, and read the preview, which shows Coinbase's network fee estimate and, for USDT, the 0.01% processing fee.
Third, remember that the small deposit test is for self-custody wallets, so a deposit address at another exchange does not trigger it, but a cash deposit still on hold will stop the send until the hold lifts.
Fourth, confirm, wait for the network to confirm, and expect the destination to credit only after its own confirmation count.
On MEXC, crypto deposits are free, and if a token needs a memo or tag the deposit page shows it, so leaving it out is the one mistake this transfer cannot recover from.
For USDT, Ethereum is a network both platforms list, and MEXC's own withdrawal fee back out is a flat 0.094 USDT on that network as displayed on 7 September 2026.

Coinbase vs MEXC on withdrawals

The second half of this guide sets Coinbase's rules against MEXC, which publishes this article, so read the disclosure at the end alongside the comparison.
Geography comes first: MEXC's User Agreement excludes residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Singapore, MEXC has ended services in the European Economic Area, and this guide treats Australian readers as information only, so in those markets Coinbase is the answer and the table below is for reference.
For readers in markets both platforms serve, Brazil being one example, the comparison is live.

Data verified as of 7 and 8 September 2026 against Coinbase Help, the MEXC fee overview, the MEXC KYC FAQ and MEXC's Withdrawal Not Received page.
The structural difference is publication: Coinbase's retail limit lives in your account, while MEXC prints the ceiling next to each verification level.
The fee difference is shape rather than size: Coinbase passes through an estimate that moves with the chain, and MEXC charges a flat amount per network that you can read before you log in.
The timing difference is that MEXC publishes its own processing windows, a 5 to 60 minute manual review and a TxID within 1 to 60 minutes, where Coinbase publishes only the network-sync caveat.

Where MEXC's published rules help, and where they do not

The pain point on Coinbase is that the two numbers that matter most, your limit and your hold date, only appear after you have already deposited.
MEXC's answer is to publish both sides of the withdrawal in advance.
The limit is 80 BTC a day after Primary KYC and 200 BTC a day after Advanced KYC on the MEXC KYC FAQ, the fee is a flat figure per network on the fee overview, and the processing statuses, from Pending Verification through Under Review to Processing, each carry a stated window on the Withdrawal Not Received page.
For a 1,000 USDT transfer on Ethereum that means 0.094 USDT out of MEXC against Coinbase's network estimate plus 0.10 USDT, and on Tron it means 0.5 USDT for a network Coinbase does not price on its disclosures page.
Three limits keep that comparison honest.
First, Coinbase's fiat rails have no MEXC equivalent for most readers: free ACH and SEPA withdrawals to a bank account, plus instant card cashouts, run through licensed entities in the US, the UK and the EU.
Second, transfers between Coinbase users cost nothing, and Coinbase Prime and Coinbase Exchange publish institutional limits that MEXC's retail FAQ does not address.
Third, MEXC's fees and statuses are snapshots from 7 and 8 September 2026, and both platforms adjust network fees with chain conditions.
For a trader outside the excluded regions who wants to know the limit, the fee and the review window before depositing, the published ladder is the practical difference, and our guide to crypto exchanges with the lowest withdrawal fees prices the same routes across eight platforms.

Scam warning: the phone numbers in the search results are not Coinbase

Searches for Coinbase withdrawals return "quote" pages, forum posts and PDFs on unrelated domains that embed a phone number and promise to release a pending withdrawal.
No such line exists: Coinbase publishes its rules in its Help Center, holds cannot be shortened by anyone, and neither Coinbase nor MEXC will phone you first to ask for a code, a password or a transfer.
Treat any request to move funds to a "safe wallet" as fraud, and use only the transaction hash and the exchange's own support channels to trace a transfer.

Who should withdraw where

Stay on Coinbase if you live in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada or Singapore, where MEXC does not serve you, and in Australia, where MEXC is not on the AUSTRAC register and this guide makes no recommendation.
Stay on Coinbase as well if your withdrawals are mostly to a bank account, since free ACH and SEPA transfers and instant card cashouts are the point of a licensed on-ramp, and our MEXC vs Coinbase comparison covers the rest of that trade-off.
Choose MEXC if you live in a market both platforms serve, your withdrawals are crypto to crypto, and you want a published limit, a flat fee per network and a stated review window before you deposit.
Readers leaving Coinbase for other reasons can compare the wider field in our guide to Coinbase alternatives.

The MEXC View

We publish this guide on MEXC Learn, so we have an obvious interest in how the comparison reads, and our review methodology explains how we handle that.
Three things we will not claim.
MEXC does not match Coinbase on fiat rails, and a reader whose withdrawals end in a bank account is better served by the licensed platform in their own country.
MEXC does not serve the markets where most Coinbase customers live, and MEXC Global Ltd appears on the FCA warning list.
Our own earlier Learn pages quoted unverified withdrawal allowances that the June 2026 Help Center FAQ has superseded, and we are correcting them.
Where the comparison favours MEXC, it is specific: a limit printed next to each verification level, a flat fee per network, and a manual review window of 5 to 60 minutes that Coinbase does not publish an equivalent for.
Our MEXC review lists the other trade-offs, including the regions where MEXC is not available.

Disclosure and risk notice

This article is published by MEXC Learn, and MEXC competes with Coinbase for traders in the markets both platforms serve.
MEXC is not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Canada, Singapore and other regions listed in its User Agreement; see the MEXC restricted countries list, and note that MEXC Global Ltd appears on the FCA warning list.
Withdrawal rules, fees and processing times on both platforms change without notice; every figure here was checked against official pages on 7 and 8 September 2026, and the arrival times are expected rather than measured.
Crypto transfers are irreversible, crypto trading carries a high risk of loss, and nothing here is financial advice.
If you live in a market MEXC serves and want your limit, fee and review window in writing before you deposit, the next step takes about three minutes.
