A DoorDash delivery driver bringing President Donald Trump two bags of food from McDonald’s Monday at the White House was pressed by the president on whether she voted for him, drawing nervous laughter and an ambiguous response.
“Well you're really nice. Would you like to do a little news conference with me with these people? These are not the nicest people, they're not nice like you, you know that, right?” Trump told the delivery driver, the two of them standing just outside the White House in front of a group of reporters.
“I'll do whatever you ask me to do, sir,” the woman said.
Trump then pressed the woman on whether the no-tax-on-tips provision included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act – set to expire at the end of 2028 – was “something special,” and later, attempted to gauge her support for his administration.
“Fantastic, it's such an honor to meet you,” Trump said. “And I think you voted for me, do you think?”
“Uh… maybe,” the woman said, laughing nervously.
Trump’s affinity for McDonald’s has been well documented for decades, with his own Health and Human Services secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., having expressed his shock that the president is still “alive” given the amount of McDonald’s he eats. Trump’s fondness for the burger chain is so well-known that the Saudi Arabian government erected a mobile McDonald’s truck ahead of the president’s visit last year.Piyasa Fırsatı
