I’m building this alone. One developer, four repositories, zero investors.

It started with frustration — I was checking crypto prices dozens of times a day, across different websites, with no system at all. I wanted a simple tool that just works — notifies you when it matters, tracks your portfolio, collects no data, requires no registration. I couldn’t find something that fully satisfied me — so I built it.

CryptoAlert is a Chrome extension and a mobile app — available as a PWA (Progressive Web App), meaning it installs directly from the browser, with no App Store and no Google Play. Two separate products, one idea. Payment in crypto, no forms, no subscriptions that renew without your knowledge. An AI that understands your portfolio and responds in seven languages.

I’m writing about this publicly because I believe transparency builds trust. This isn’t a corporate product — it’s a tool I use myself every day.

The problem with checking crypto prices

Imagine you’re sitting with your morning coffee, checking the price of Bitcoin. You open your phone, go to some website, see the price — and close it. An hour later you do the same thing. Over and over again.

CryptoAlert was built to change that.

It’s available in two separate forms that work independently of each other.

Mobile and Web App (PWA): On your phone, you install it like a regular app — no App Store, no Google Play. Open the website in your browser, tap “Add to Home Screen” and you’re done. On Android, the browser will suggest installation automatically — one tap is all it takes. On iOS, open the site in Safari, tap “Share” and “Add to Home Screen”. Note — push notifications on iOS require version 16.4 or later and only work when the app is added to your home screen.

Chrome Extension: For those who prefer everything at hand on their computer — install the extension from the Chrome Web Store with one click. The icon appears in your browser toolbar and gives you access to prices, alerts and your portfolio without opening a new tab. The extension runs in the background — refreshing prices and sending notifications even when the browser is minimized.

When you open the app, you see your favorite cryptocurrency prices in real time. Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, XRP — whatever you want to track. Each coin shows the current price, 24-hour change and a 7-day chart. At a glance, you know exactly what’s happening with your portfolio.

But that’s just the beginning.

You can set an alert — for example “notify me when Bitcoin drops below $78,000”. And you forget about it. The app watches for you. When the price hits your target — you get a notification. On laptop, a popup appears in the corner of your screen. On phone — a push notification even when the app is closed and buried deep in the background.

Every alert has a built-in 30-minute cooldown — if the price oscillates around the threshold and crosses it multiple times, you don’t get a notification every time, just once every half hour. Markets can be volatile — your phone doesn’t have to be.

You also have a Portfolio tab where you enter how much of each coin you hold. The app continuously shows your total portfolio value in dollars — always visible, always up to date. You see immediately what you’re worth — no mental math, no opening an exchange.

The AI assistant that actually understands you

Here’s where it gets really interesting — the AI assistant. You can simply write “set an alert when BTC drops 5% and rises 3%” — and the AI will understand, calculate the exact prices and set the alerts automatically. You can ask “how much will I earn if I sell half my ETH at 30% gain?” — you’ll get a concrete answer based on your portfolio, with a table and full calculations.

The AI understands natural language — in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. You don’t need to learn any commands.

Plans & pricing

The app has several plans. Free gives you basic features — 5 default coins (BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP), 5-minute price refresh, push alerts. Trial is 5 days of full features for free — no credit card, no registration, no commitment.

There’s also AI Spark 3×3 — the minimal plan to test the AI for one dollar: 3 days of access, 3 questions per day, paid in crypto with no personal data. Perfect for checking whether the AI actually understands your needs — before you commit to more.

Payment is unique and completely private. You connect your crypto wallet — MetaMask, OKX Wallet or Rabby — and approve a transaction in USDC or USDT on Base, BSC or Polygon. You provide no personal data. No registration form. No email address. No credit card. Nobody knows who you are.

After activation you receive a license key — your personal access key that works on any device. Save it somewhere safe — it’s your only proof of purchase. Lost your phone? Get a new one, enter the key and you have everything back.
