The self-custodial TON Wallet inside Telegram has officially rolled out on-chain yield features for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT. The update introduces a new “Vaults” system that allows users to earn variable returns directly within the app’s interface.
This marks a significant step in integrating DeFi-style earning tools into a mainstream messaging platform used by hundreds of millions globally.
Users can now deposit BTC, ETH, or USDT into automated on-chain vaults designed to generate returns through decentralized lending and liquidity strategies.
The flagship USDT vault advertises a blended annual percentage yield (APY) of up to 18%, powered by strategies curated by Re7. Yields for Bitcoin and Ethereum are variable and depend on prevailing market conditions. Fixed rates for BTC and ETH were not disclosed at launch.
Unlike centralized exchange “Earn” products, the system is self-custodial. This means users retain control of their private keys while participating in yield strategies, rather than transferring custody to an exchange.
The yield system is built through collaboration with multiple DeFi infrastructure providers.
Morpho supplies the decentralized lending infrastructure that generates core yield.
TON Applications Chain enables compatibility with wrapped assets such as wETH and cbBTC, allowing Ethereum and Bitcoin exposure within the TON ecosystem.
Re7 Capital manages strategy design and risk allocation for the vaults.
Together, these components enable Telegram users to access DeFi yield mechanisms without leaving the app environment.
To participate, users open the @wallet bot within Telegram, navigate to the Earn tab, and select BTC, ETH, or USDT to deposit into a vault.
Telegram has also indicated that native BTC and ETH deposits will soon be supported directly, with automatic conversion into their wrapped on-chain equivalents inside the wallet.
By embedding yield generation directly into a self-custodial wallet within Telegram, the TON ecosystem continues expanding beyond messaging into full-scale financial services infrastructure.
