AI Chip Startup Celero Raises $275 Million, Co-Led by CapitalG and Others
According to Bloomberg, AI chip startup Celero Communications has raised $275 million at a valuation of more than $3 billion. The round was co-led by Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and CapitalG, Alphabet’s venture capital arm. Founded in 2024, Celero develops coherent digital signal processors (DSPs) for optical data transmission in AI systems, aiming to improve high-speed data transfers between data centers and across server racks within individual facilities. Atreides Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer Gavin Baker will join Celero’s board.
Stablecoin Payment Pilot Launches as Uzbekistan Introduces Government-Securities-Backed HUMO
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Uzbekistan’s National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) and the central bank have jointly launched a stablecoin payment pilot backed by government securities. Humo Digital has been approved to test HUMO, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the Uzbek som, within a regulatory sandbox, with more than 20 merchants already participating. The pilot will cover issuance, circulation, and redemption, with licensed crypto exchange Asterium acting as a partner. The initial trial period is 12 months, with a maximum total duration of three years. Regulators will also assess collateral adequacy, cybersecurity, anti-money-laundering controls, and financial stability risks.
Datavault AI to Launch IDE Asset Tokenization Trading Platform on September 15
According to Businesswire, Nasdaq-listed Datavault AI plans to officially launch its Information Data Exchange (IDE) asset tokenization platform on September 15, 2026. The platform will support the identification, authentication, scoring, valuation, tokenization, and monetization of data and other real-world assets while allowing asset owners to retain ownership and control of the underlying data. The company also plans to launch NILv, a marketplace for athlete commercial rights, as well as APEX, a blockchain-based data and advertising marketplace, with the goal of building infrastructure spanning asset authentication, valuation, trading, and settlement.
YZi Labs Ranked Second-Most Active Family Office Globally in August, Participating in 10 Funding Rounds Worth $42.1 Million
According to Odaily Planet Daily, family offices participated in 109 deals in August, with disclosed funding across those transactions totaling $16.9 billion. Follow-on rounds accounted for 27% of all transactions. a16z Perennial ranked first with participation in 17 deals, while YZi Labs ranked second with 10 deals involving a disclosed combined funding amount of $42.1 million. YZi Labs manages more than $10 billion in assets and invests across Web3, AI, healthcare, and other sectors. The $42.1 million figure represents the total size of the relevant rounds and does not indicate YZi Labs’ actual investment amount.
Korean Won Stablecoins Could Save Merchants Up to $3.8 Billion Annually in Payment Fees
According to Odaily Planet Daily, South Korea’s National Assembly Budget Office estimates that Korean won stablecoins could help local merchants save approximately $275 million to $3.8 billion in payment fees each year. U.S. dollar stablecoins currently account for 98.8% of the global $312.3 billion stablecoin market, while a won-denominated stablecoin could offer a domestic alternative. The budget office also warned that large-scale shifts from bank deposits into stablecoins could weaken banks’ credit intermediation role, while heavy redemptions could force issuers to sell reserves and potentially destabilize pegs. It therefore called for reserve requirements, limits on stablecoin yields, and tighter oversight of tokens that could threaten financial stability.
Four.meme Launches Daily BNC4 Buyback-and-Burn Program Through December 9
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Four.meme announced that BNC4’s daily buyback program will begin on September 9 and continue through December 9. During the campaign, 100% of BNC4’s daily product revenue will be used to repurchase and burn eligible community Meme tokens. Funding will come from BNC4 trading fees and fees generated by BNC4 liquidity providers. Meme projects using BNC4 as a pool asset, with at least 3,000 holders and a market cap of at least 500,000 USDT, will be ranked by daily trading volume. The top-ranked project each day will receive the full buyback allocation, and all repurchased tokens will be burned with on-chain records made publicly verifiable.
23 Funding Services Degraded as Kraken Experiences Withdrawal Delays
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Kraken notified customers on Tuesday that withdrawals were delayed. The cause has been identified, but the exchange has not provided an estimated recovery time. This was Kraken’s second service disruption of the day, following earlier delays in account balance history data. Since September 4, Kraken has also suspended deposits across more than 20 blockchain networks, including Cosmos and Celestia, and these services have not yet resumed. Kraken’s status page shows that 23 of 725 funding services are currently degraded, potentially affecting deposits, withdrawals, and asset settlement times for some users.

Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol CCTP Adds Prepaid Fees for Fast Transfers
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Circle announced that its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, CCTP, now supports prepaid fees for Fast Transfer. Previously, protocol fees were deducted directly from the amount of USDC received on the destination chain. Under the new mechanism, developers can quote and collect fees in advance using either the source chain’s native gas token or USDC, improving fee predictability for cross-chain transfers. The CCTP Quote API can also calculate costs across supported chains and combine Fast Transfer and Forwarding fees into a single quote, allowing developers to avoid building separate fee calculation systems while ensuring users receive the expected amount of USDC.
Elon Musk’s X Faces Regulatory Investigation in Ireland
According to Semafor, Ireland’s media regulator has opened an investigation into Elon Musk’s social platform X, focusing on whether its age-verification and parental-control measures are effective. The Coimisiún na Meán will assess whether X provides adequate protections for users under 16 in an environment where adult content is permitted. The regulator is also examining whether parental controls fall short of minimum standards, are difficult to locate, or are not sufficiently highlighted to new users. If X is found to have violated Irish online safety rules, it could face penalties of up to €20 million or 10% of relevant annual revenue.

Chainalysis noted in its 2026 research that these scams often begin with fake investment opportunities, unfamiliar social-media accounts, or supposed “mentors” who first build trust and then persuade users to sign token approval transactions that appear routine. Once a malicious address gains spending permission, it may transfer assets from the victim’s wallet without further approval. Such attacks also frequently reuse the same malicious contracts, consolidation wallets, and cash-out routes. Before connecting to unfamiliar DeFi, airdrop, or minting pages, users should verify the official website and carefully review contract interactions, avoid granting unlimited token approvals without a clear reason, and regularly revoke unused Token Approvals. If an unfamiliar person asks for live screenshots, requests that assets be moved to a self-custody wallet, or pressures the user to sign urgently, users should stop immediately and independently verify the request through official channels.
