Trump Administration Considers Overseas Stablecoin Plan
According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Trump administration is considering an overseas stablecoin initiative that could involve a joint venture with private companies, with the Treasury Department, State Department, and U.S. International Development Finance Corporation potentially participating. The initiative would aim to expand the use of the U.S. dollar in overseas payments and settlement while supporting demand for U.S. Treasuries. Tether’s latest reserve report shows that, as of June 30, it directly held $114.96 billion in U.S. Treasuries, with total reserve assets of $187.75 billion, exceeding liabilities by $4.11 billion. The initiative has not yet become an operational program, and no partnership with Tether has been confirmed.
Ripple Says It Cannot Freeze $83 Million in XRP Stolen in Bitget Hack

Recently, users should remain highly alert to fake blockchains and malicious bridges promoted as “new mainnets,” “official cross-chain bridges,” or “airdrop portals.” GIWA has confirmed that the recently circulated “GIWA Mainnet” was not an official network, while the related fake bridge collected more than 766 ETH before funds were transferred across multiple addresses and continued moving. Attackers typically use group chats, fake RPC endpoints, fraudulent bridge pages, and bogus token markets to create the appearance of an official mainnet launch and induce users to bridge, approve, or transfer assets. Before connecting to any new network, users should verify RPC endpoints, Rollup contracts, and bridge addresses through the project’s official website or verified social channels. For projects using OP Stack, users should also confirm that the Ethereum-side Rollup contracts are genuine. Do not approve or transfer assets through unknown bridge pages, contracts, or tokens, and retain transaction records and address information for possible follow-up tracing.
