Multiple Crypto Spot ETFs Report Weekly Fund Flows; BTC, ETH, SOL and XRP Record Net Inflows While HYPE Posts Net Outflows
According to SoSoValue data, during the trading week from July 20 to July 24, U.S. Eastern Time, Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $33.79 million, while Ethereum spot ETFs attracted $104 million. Both marked their third consecutive week of net inflows. SOL and XRP spot ETFs posted net inflows of $7.20 million and $8.1526 million, respectively, while HYPE spot ETFs saw net outflows of $8.6111 million. Ethereum and Bitcoin spot ETFs held total net assets of $10.170 billion and $77.820 billion, respectively, indicating that capital continued to favor major crypto assets overall.
South Korea’s KB Kookmin Bank to Join JPMorgan’s Kinexys and Launch Blockchain-Based Cross-Border Payment Services
According to The Block, South Korea’s KB Kookmin Bank will launch a blockchain-based cross-border payment service for corporate clients next month and connect to JPMorgan’s Kinexys payment network. It will become the first South Korean financial institution to use the network for corporate import and export settlements. The service will be offered through the bank’s domestic branches and Singapore branch, initially prioritizing U.S. dollar remittances across 10 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and India. Kinexys provides programmable payments, asset tokenization and near-real-time settlement services.
ESMA Adds 15 Crypto-Asset Service Providers to MiCA Register, Including BNY Mellon Subsidiary
According to Odaily, the European Securities and Markets Authority updated its interim MiCA register by adding 15 licensed crypto-asset service providers, bringing the total number of registered institutions to 309. The additions include BNY Mellon’s Belgian subsidiary BNY SA/NV, as well as BitPay, Coinify and Bleap. Four of the newly registered entities are banks. Germany and Denmark each added three providers, while Bulgaria and Latvia each added two. The update did not alter the other registers covering asset-referenced tokens, electronic money tokens, authorized issuers and noncompliant entities.
Tether Gold-Backed Digital Asset XAU₮ Receives Sharia Compliance Certification
According to Odaily, Tether’s gold-backed digital asset XAU₮ has received Sharia compliance certification from Amanah Advisors. Each whole XAU₮ token represents direct ownership of physical gold held in Swiss vaults. Certification requirements include genuine ownership of physical gold, clear and verifiable asset backing, the absence of interest, leverage and speculative derivatives, and a transparent reserve structure. Tether said XAU₮ may be used for digital gold products offered by Islamic banks, halal savings, long-term wealth preservation, tokenized trade finance and collateral applications.
Crypto.com Custody to Provide Institutional-Grade Custody and Liquidity Services for XYO and XL1
According to Odaily, Crypto.com Custody has announced institutional-grade custody and liquidity services for XYO and XL1. Eligible institutions and high-net-worth clients will be able to store, manage and exchange both tokens through a regulated channel. The assets will be held in segregated MPC wallets by a bankruptcy-remote entity, while private keys will be protected through multiparty computation operating within trusted execution environments. Clients will also have access to cold storage, audit records and institutional liquidity services. The arrangement marks XL1’s first listing on a major trading platform following its token sale.
Perpetual Futures With $90 Trillion in Annual Trading Volume Enter Wall Street as Major Banks Remain Cautious
According to Odaily, major Wall Street institutions remain cautious after perpetual futures entered the regulated U.S. market. Bank of America estimates that global perpetual futures generate approximately $90 trillion in annual trading volume, while Kalshi recorded more than $1 billion in volume within one week of launching related products in June. Large banks may wait for longer-term trading data, clearer regulatory treatment and more stable infrastructure due to capital requirements, client obligations and reputational risks. Proprietary trading firms, market makers and emerging clearing companies are more likely to participate first, although concerns remain over market depth and the regulatory classification of these products.
Ondo Finance Launches New Execution Layer Ondo Network, Replacing Original Ondo Chain Roadmap
According to Odaily, Ondo Finance has launched a new execution layer called Ondo Network, describing it as an “evolved version” of Ondo Chain. The two networks will no longer operate in parallel. While developing the Ondo Perps perpetual exchange, Ondo found that the principal trading bottleneck was execution rather than settlement. It therefore separated execution, settlement and verification. Secure hardware enclaves provide high-speed and private-by-default execution, while a decentralized attestor network verifies the running code. Asset transfers currently settle on Ethereum, with support for additional blockchains planned for the future.
Metaplanet Acquires Siiibo Securities, Plans to Build a Bitcoin Fixed-Income Market in Japan
According to Odaily, Japanese-listed company Metaplanet has acquired Siiibo Securities, which holds a Type I Financial Instruments Business license, enabling Metaplanet to design and sell securities in Japan. Research firm Benchmark said the acquisition, valued at approximately JPY 2.1 billion, or around $13 million, represents more than a small-scale expansion. Metaplanet plans to use the business to issue Bitcoin-backed Bitbonds yielding approximately 4% to 6% annually. It subsequently intends to migrate the products on-chain, settle them through stablecoins and gradually establish a secondary market.
HashKey Consolidates Regional Exchanges Into a Unified Global Platform
According to Odaily, Hong Kong-based digital asset services company HashKey Holdings has combined HashKey Exchange and HashKey Global into a single platform and application serving users in Hong Kong, global markets, Singapore and the Middle East. Its main regulatory hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Bermuda have been incorporated into the unified platform. Users can download the same application, while the platform applies local compliance requirements according to each user’s jurisdiction. The consolidation will unify product access and operational systems while preserving the regulatory and service frameworks required in individual markets.

Users should remain vigilant against approval phishing. Attackers impersonate trading platforms, project teams or customer support representatives and use fake airdrop, account verification, refund or asset migration pages to persuade users to connect their wallets and sign seemingly routine approvals. Once granted, a malicious address may directly transfer the tokens it has been authorized to access. A security notice published by Chainalysis stated that these scams work by deceiving users into granting access to wallet assets. Users should access projects only through official channels, verify the domain, spender, token and allowance before signing, reject suspicious unlimited approvals, regularly revoke unused permissions and keep large holdings separate from wallets used for routine interactions.
