Binance fines and hack-related losses estimated at $10.7 billion, equivalent to about 56% of five years of pre-tax profit
According to Bitcoin.com News, Binance’s estimated costs from fines and hacking incidents have reached approximately $10.7 billion, equivalent to about 56% of its estimated pre-tax profit from 2021 to 2025. K33 Research Head of Research Vetle Lunde estimates Binance generated roughly $19.2 billion in pre-tax profit during the same period. Known fines total about $4.34 billion, while hack-related losses are estimated at approximately $6.38 billion. Around $3 billion of assets linked to the recent security incident have been frozen, and Binance says it has covered about 95% of affected assets, although the final amount recovered remains uncertain.
Binance sees $15.4 billion in net outflows over seven days while still holding $124.4 billion in assets
According to Bitcoin News, Binance recorded net outflows of $15.4 billion over the past seven days, including $3.4 billion over the latest 24-hour period. The exchange still holds approximately $124.4 billion in assets. The outflows followed the roughly $6.3 billion security incident and indicate that withdrawal demand remained elevated after services resumed. Combined with Binance’s previous withdrawal disclosures, the data suggest that initial outflows surged before beginning to stabilize, making changes in asset reserves, net flows and updated Proof of Reserves key indicators for monitoring platform liquidity.
50 companies oppose OKXICE tokenized stock plan as Nvidia and 11 others join objections
According to Bitcoin.com News, OKXICE disclosed that 12 additional companies have objected to its tokenized stock plan, including Nvidia, Costco, Nike, Reddit and CrowdStrike. The total number of companies formally opposing the proposal has risen to 50, representing about 79% of the original 63 companies planned for inclusion. The companies have a combined market capitalization of around $25 trillion. OKXICE plans to back tokenized shares with actual equities held by a registered broker-dealer and conduct trading through stablecoins and permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on OKX’s X Layer.
BSC Jenner hard fork introduces millisecond timestamps for smart contracts
According to BNB Chain, the Jenner hard fork incorporates BEP-706, which introduces a precompiled contract at address 0x70 that allows smart contracts to read the current block timestamp with millisecond precision. Previously, block.timestamp only provided second-level precision, making it difficult to distinguish between multiple blocks produced within the same second. The new mechanism can improve the precision of time-sensitive signed quotes, auction deadlines and oracle freshness checks without changing the existing second-level behavior of block.timestamp or altering block production speed.
Israeli crypto industry pushes back on Netanyahu sanctions-evasion proposal, warning of damage to the Web3 ecosystem
According to Bitcoin.com News, the Bank of Israel and members of the local Web3 industry pushed back after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposed using cryptocurrency to circumvent potential banking sanctions. Executives from Addressable and Orbs warned that such statements could prompt overseas banks and trading platforms to subject Israeli crypto businesses to greater scrutiny. Industry representatives also called for a regulatory sandbox involving the central bank, securities regulator and capital-markets authority, along with a virtual asset service provider licensing framework aligned with MiCA and FATF Travel Rule requirements.
Gold posts its worst October since 2008 as tech selloff intensifies liquidity pressure
According to Odaily Planet Daily citing Gate data, spot gold fell about 6.7% in October, marking its worst October performance since 2008. Gold dropped 3.6% last Friday alone and reached a one-year low. The decline was driven by two main factors: inflation concerns linked to higher oil prices, which strengthened expectations for tighter monetary policy, and a selloff in technology stocks that forced some investors to sell gold to raise liquidity. As oil prices later fell following developments in U.S.-Iran negotiations, part of the inflation-related pressure eased and gold rebounded, highlighting the continued importance of cross-asset liquidity conditions.
NYSE brings in Broadridge to provide on-chain shareholder voting for tokenized stock platform
According to CoinDesk, the New York Stock Exchange is bringing in Broadridge Financial Solutions to provide on-chain governance and digital transfer-agent services for its planned tokenized securities platform. Broadridge will use governance smart contracts to connect shareholder meeting agendas, voting rules and verifiable results, while supporting voting through digital wallets, brokerage interfaces and its ProxyVote service. The platform remains subject to regulatory approval, but the design suggests tokenized stocks are evolving beyond on-chain trading toward shareholder recordkeeping, proxy voting and investor-rights management.
Morgan Stanley downgrades Coinbase to Underweight and cuts price target from $258 to $120
According to CNBC, Morgan Stanley downgraded Coinbase shares from Equal Weight to Underweight and cut its price target from $258 to $120, implying roughly 16% downside from last Friday’s closing price. Analyst Michael Cyprys said weaker recent trading trends, softer forward revenue expectations and uncertainty around the crypto market make an earnings recovery more difficult. As of October 25, Coinbase’s fourth-quarter crypto trading revenue was approximately $165 million, putting the annualized pace around 11% below market expectations. Morgan Stanley also reduced its 2027 revenue forecast by 28% and adjusted EBITDA estimate by 47%.
Solana: tokenized stock trading volume reached $3.9 billion in October
According to Solana, tokenized stock trading volume on the network reached $3.9 billion in October. Citing data from Sunrise, Solana said monthly tokenized stock volume exceeded $2 billion, while the number of tokenized stock holders surpassed 500,000, doubling from the previous month. Sunrise also reported that tokenized stock SPCX generated more than $2 billion in cumulative trading volume during October. The figures suggest that on-chain equities are moving beyond issuance toward more active secondary-market trading, with both trading volume and holder participation increasing.

The FBI warns that scammers may contact users through phone calls, text messages, search advertisements or fake websites, claiming there is an “account issue,” a need for “security verification,” or a requirement to “protect assets.” They may then request account information, remote access to a device or transfers to a so-called safe wallet. Users should not handle account problems through support links received in unsolicited messages and should never allow supposed support agents to remotely control their devices. Any request to move assets to a “secure wallet” should be independently verified through official channels. The FBI has also stated that it will not ask ordinary users by phone or email to convert funds into cryptocurrency or transfer assets to designated accounts.
