Complete Guide to Downloading and Updating the MEXC App (iPhone, Android, and Web)
This guide explains how to download, install, and update the MEXC app for users in Japan.
The MEXC app is currently unavailable for direct download from the App Store or Google Play in some regions. However, you can continue using the MEXC app as usual by choosing one of the methods below. Choose the method that best suits your device.
Whichever method you choose, your existing MEXC account and assets will remain unchanged. There is no need to create a new account again.

2. For iPhone Users
There are three ways to install the MEXC app on iPhone. If you are unsure which method to choose, Method 1 is recommended as the simplest option.
Method 1: Change Your App Store Region to Hong Kong
Keep using your current Apple Account and change your App Store Country/Region setting to Hong Kong to download the MEXC app. The process can be completed directly in the App Store. Your iCloud, photos, and other personal data will not be affected. You can switch your App Store region back to Japan at any time by following the same steps.

Method 2: Create a New Hong Kong Apple Account
Create a separate Hong Kong Apple Account specifically for downloading the MEXC app. Your existing Apple Account, iCloud, photos, contacts, and other data will remain unchanged. A Hong Kong phone number or credit card is not required.

Method 3: Install via AltStore PAL
AltStore PAL is an Apple-approved third-party app marketplace available in Japan under the Mobile Software Competition Promotion Act (MSCA). To use this method, your iPhone must be running iOS 26.2 or later and located in Japan. You can check your iOS version under Settings → General → About.

3. For Android Users
Android users can download the MEXC APK file directly from the official MEXC website and install it on their devices.

4. Access MEXC Without Installing the App (Web Version)

5. How to Update the App
The update process depends on how you installed the MEXC app.
Method 1 (region changed to Hong Kong): Update the app from the App Store while your region is set to Hong Kong. If you need to update apps available only in the Japanese App Store, such as banking or payment apps, temporarily switch your region back to Japan.
Method 2 (new Hong Kong Apple Account):Update the app while signed in to the App Store with your Hong Kong Apple Account.
Method 3 (AltStore PAL): Update the app from the My Apps section in the AltStore PAL app.
Android (APK): Follow the in-app update instructions or download and install the latest APK version from the official MEXC website.
